He reached for the thin silver crown on his head. Silver, like everything in the bright moonlight.
"It's time to go, princess."
"Nearly, my prince."
We urged the horses, simultneously, into a trot. Long way ahead, as long as immortality, actually. We rode in silence.
Nothing to regret, lots to remember. And a deal more to feel on this only night. Blades of grass like blades of steel, silver crown like deadly frost, and autumn fog is our veil.
I drink the cup.
Nothing to regret, nothing to care for. Nothing to feel when the night ends.
